Baccarat commissions are among the lowest in the online casino game offering. The 5% compensation charged by the house is given because the house edge advantage is lower (1.17% of bets) than the player’s margin, around 1.35% in bets. This also indicates that the odds of the player winning are close to the dealer. Why is this situation? Because the dealer participates after the player and starts with an advantage when he knows his game.
Baccarat variants
Below we have collected some of the most common variants of baccarat. However, you should bear in mind that there are many others. Still, the most popular are the following:
Mini / Midi baccarat
In addition to the big table baccarat, typical of casinos, there are other more agile and faster formats such as mini baccarat, which allows the dealer to reveal all the cards quickly and thus the player can decide whether there will be another card dealt or not. Six decks are used. Between the big table and mini baccarat there is an intermediate version called Midi Baccarat, a mix of both formats.
EZ Baccarat
This variant of baccarat allows players the opportunity to place two additional bets: Dragon 7 and Panda 8.
- Dragon 7 : 40: 1 is paid when betting on the bank hand, up to a total of 7 points with three cards dealt. House margin of 7.61%.
- Panda 8 : 25 is paid: when you bet on the player who wins the hand up to 8 points with three cards. 10.19% house margin.
Point 2000 / Super 6
The rules and conditions are the same as for Big Table Baccarat, but without deviation in payouts. There is no 5% commission, but when the banker wins with 6 in a hand 50% of the bet is paid (0.5: 1). The winning bet to the ‘player’ is paid 1: 1; the bet for the tie, 8: 1.
Chemin de Fer
It’s the French version – and the original – of this game. A gaming table with six decks is established, where one of the players assumes the role of ‘banker’ and dealer, while the rest are the bettors. Of these, whoever has made the highest bet becomes the representative of the ‘non-banker’ players and decides the course of action. The figure of the ‘banker’ passes from one player to another in a counter-clockwise direction.
Play begins to the dealer’s right and continues to the left. Then, the dealer / ‘banker’ deals four cards: two for himself and another two for the common players with the option of dealing a third card for each side if no hand is close to 8 or 9. If the player’s hand player is higher than the ‘banker’, the bet is divided among the bettors and the position of the ‘banker’ is passed to the next player; if the ‘banker’ / dealer has the winning hand he collects bettors bets and holds his position; if there is a tie, bets stand for the next hand.
